When was the last time you built a “dream list”? No, I’m not talking about dreams you have while sleeping, I’m talking about those things that you want to do or experience in life. For my birthday, a friend gave me a bucket journal. In the movie the Bucket List, Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson, both created lists of their dreams and then swapped lists and took off together to do the many things on each list. Unfortunately, it took an end-of-life disease for them to actually have the courage to do it.
For me, I have a list of “dreams” that I look at each year. I haven’t been to Australia yet (always on the list…one day I’ll be there!), but I have made a career move from the corporate hub-bub to a relationship oriented career. That’s why ten years ago I made the move to coaching! It was on my dream list.
So, how about you? Take out a piece of paper. Write the date at the top and the words: My Dream Big list. Sit back in a comfy chair, close your eyes, take a few big breaths, slowly exhale, and then start writing. See if you can come up with 10 things you have always wanted to do or experience. When you have the list…share it! Share it with a friend, a loved one, and your coach! Build on it! Review it every year! Dreams do come true!

For me, I have a lot of beautiful books on places to go and things to see in Australia. I have connected with a few people who actually live in Australia! I have started researching some conferences I might want to attend or speak at. Have I made it there, yet? Nope…but, know that it will be a destination for me soon.
